In the middle of one of their biggest hits, the roof of this legendary venue began falling down onto the stage in pieces of rubble. This definitely gives a whole new meaning to ‘blowing the roof off the joint’.
During their weekend concert in Boise, Idaho this country duo learned what happens when you play your heart out in a building that was built in 1927!
Appearing in the capitol city’s unforgettable Egyptian Theater, the Brothers Osborne were getting amped up for a killer encore when right in the middle of their set, the roof began falling down onto the stage in chunks!
Truly a scary happenstance when you’re being blinded by glaring stage lights and the rest of the stage is incredibly dark!
The pieces (which looked fairly large) fell down and created a small cloud of dust before the duo had to cut their planned encore short.
“Boise! Had a blast tonight….” The pair wrote on social media. “We had an encore worked up for y’all but the house literally started coming down. Can’t wait to come back!”
Having been named the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year, these two are an in-demand pair that continues to delight at every concert – and this one included! (Even if the crumbling roof cut it short.)
Watch the video below where you can clearly see a large chunk of the roof come down hard onto the stage in the middle of their hit, “Stay A Little Longer”.
