Just days after the beloved 33-year-old crew member was tragically killed in a single-car accident on his way home from a friend’s house, the folks over at Dale Earnhardt Jr.‘s team put together a memorial video that will leave you weeping.

Adam Wright, a mechanic for JR Motorsports and their No. 5 Xfinity Series car, was killed on Sunday, August 20th, when his car veered off the roadside and went airborne. North Carolina State Trooper, J.S. Swagger, stated that Wright was not wearing his seatbelt and partially ejected from the vehicle upon impact, and was declared dead at the scene.

Wright, whose father was a NASCAR driver and well-known figure in the industry, had always been someone the team loved having around and, as they explain in the video, was one of the best people any of them had ever met.

In a statement shared to Twitter, Dale Jr. expresses the team’s deep loss and grief for the Wright family. He also included the video made to honor the legacy of Adam.

The team previously issued a statement and shared a copy of his obituary along with details for his funeral and memorial service. The day after his tragic passing, the company honored his memory by lowering their flags to half mast.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the Wright family, JR Motorsports, and everyone who had the blessing to know Adam Wright.
