It's the story that has been overshadowing Dancing With the Stars since the contestants took to the dance floor last Monday (September 26). One of the contestants, Amber Rose, accused judge Julianne Hough of "body shaming" her after Hough commented that her dance made her "uncomfortable."
But Rose took Hough's comment a different way, thinking she meant her body was the thing that made her uncomfortable. Despite the fact that Hough spoke to E! News to clarify her comment, Rose wanted something more. She told People on Saturday (October 1) that she wanted to address the issue with Hough face-to-face.
"We'll talk privately, me and her, about that," Rose said. "I'm about empowering women...so we'll have that conversation when it's time."
With the beef still ongoing by the time that Monday night's (October 3) show rolled around, viewers were anxious to see what would go down between Rose and Hough. As it turns out, Rose ended up apologizing to Hough for accusing her of body shaming her.
"When you said ['I feel a little uncomfortable'], I felt very embarrassed," Rose told Hough. "And I felt like you weren't talking about my dance. But if I misunderstood, then I apologize."
Hough accepted Rose's apology, and added that she would never shame Rose or anyone else for their body type. She said as a judge, all she is focused on is the dancing:
"The thing I love so much about dance is that it's a universal platform for people to express themselves..And for me, I am a huge supporter of that and that alone and as a judge, I'm here to solely judge you and everyone in this competition for only the dancing. I want you to know that."

It seems that this feud has been put to rest at last. Are you pleased with the way things turned out?
