Darius Rucker thrilled fans during his set at the 2017 CMA Music Festival - taking place back in June but airing tonight (August 16) on ABC - when he brought out Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild for a masterful duet of his latest single, "If I Told You."
“Thank you for believing in this song!” Rucker shared with the crowd prior to his performance. “I love this time in country music. It’s so wide in range, and to have this song — a ballad, and one I’ve loved and related to since first hearing the worktape — is pretty incredible.”
Rucker recently earned his eighth No.1 with "If I Told You" written by expert songwriters Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally, and Jon Nite. The song is the lead single off his forthcoming fifth solo country album to be released later this year. While the country singer has yet to release much details about the album, Rucker has dropped multiple hints that the album will feature multiple superstar collaborations.
“There’s a great one that I did with a couple of guys that I’m really excited about,” the singer previously shared with The Boot. “It’s going to be really good. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Giving more insight into what is to come from his forthcoming album, Rucker released flirty new single, "For the First Time," back in early July.
