As we all know, the Robertson family from the famed reality show Duck Dynasty all reside in West Monroe, Louisiana.
They are very proud of their home state and when their town was underwater during a flood in March, they lent all their resources to help the cause. They were sandbagging houses, helping their neighbors, and praying hard for their loved ones.
Louisiana has been hit hard with rain again, but this time in the southeastern region of the state, near Baton Rouge. According to ABC News, “80 percent of residents will likely face a total loss when they return home”.
ABC News also reports that the Livingston Parish area got 21 inches of rain in just 24 hours, which caused 30,000 people needing to be rescued, left 12,000 people in shelters, and eight people dead.
Korie Robertson tweeted her support of her state late Monday night (August 15).
“Praying for our neighbors south of us,” she wrote with the hashtag #PrayForLouisiana.
Sadie Robertson shared a photo on Instagram, asking fans for their prayers.
“Pray for Louisiana,” she begged. “This flood has affected so many people’s lives already, and will continue to cause people hurt for a while now. It’s in times like these where everyone must come together and PRAY! Pray for strength to get through it, pray for comfort to those who lost everything, and pray for hope that eventually it will get better.”
Mary Kate Robertson shared her support on Instagram using a bible verse, as well as writing, “South Louisiana is passing through some literal water right now. The flooding is insane and a lot of people have lost everything they have. South Louisiana we are with you and we are praying for you.“
The Governor of Louisiana has declared a State of Emergency. Our prayers are with the people of Louisiana, especially in the Livingston Parish area.
