Duck Dynasty Star Gets Married In Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony

Nearly a year after popping the question in Central Park, Reed Robertson married his high school sweetheart, Brighton Thompson. The wedding itself didn’t come as a surprise, but the timing came as a shock to Duck Dynasty fans who expected the wedding to take place the first weekend in November.

The couple were married in a stunning outdoor ceremony on Saturday, October 29, officiated by Reed’s father, Jase. The 21-year old groom donned a navy blue suit as he and Brighton wed under a flower-covered arched tree. The bride wore a gorgeous V-neck gown with capped sleeves and her hair was set in a gentle side sweep with flowers that matched the bridal bouquet.

Various friends and members of the Robertson family took to social media to share photos of the occasion. 

One of the newest members of the Robertson family, Mary Kate Robertson who married John Luke, posted a photo of herself posing with her new cousin-in-law. “Congratulations to the newest Robertson couple!!!” she captioned the image. “I love you both so much and am so proud of you and excited for you! Brighton it was quite the honor to stand by you … so thankful to have you as one of my best friends and now cousins!!”

The groom’s mom took to Instagram to share a collage of her favorite pictures from the wedding, saying, “Impossible to put into one post all of the wonderful moments of last night, but here are a few. I’ll post more later as I am a very proud and blessed mama! #ReedLovesBrighton #BlessedBlessedBlessed”

Reed and Brighton’s romantic engagement was featured on an episode of Duck Dynasty earlier this year. It was revealed that the wedding would take place the first weekend in November, a decision that the family seemed less than thrilled about at the time as it was the day LSU was scheduled to play Alabama. We’re unsure if the LSU football schedule had anything to do with the wedding date being moved up a week, but one thing’s for sure…it was a beautiful day for a wedding!
