Country singer Easton Corbin is currently on tour opening for superstar act Carrie Underwood. They’ve been touring for most of the year and it doesn’t wrap up until November 28.
Part of what makes Corbin a great act to go see is his band, who is now down a man due to a nasty ATV accident over the weekend. Corbin’s drummer and very good friend David Black is now in the hospital with several injuries.
Black’s parents set up a GoFundMe page, which you can access here, to ask for donations to go towards his healthcare.
The GoFundMe page revealed that Black’s ATV “flipped over and on top of him. He has a cracked hip joint, a fractured pelvis, and numerous other less serious injuries. He plays drums and sings back-up vocals for country music artist Easton Corbin so he is going to be out of work for quite a while. On top of this he also has a new daughter who is only 8 days old and a son who is 2 and 1/2. We ask that all our Facebook friends keep him in your prayers during this time. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him.”
Black’s parents set a goal of $10,000 and in less than 36 hours, $10,082 had already been donated.
Corbin shared the GoFundMe link on his Facebook, along with the caption, “Please keep my drummer and good friend, David Black and his family in your prayers. Thank you for your support.”
We are praying for you, David, and hope you recover quickly. If you would like to make a donation, click here.
