Rockin’ Waylon Jennings Cover Leads To Final ‘Voice’ Steal

The Voice/YouTube

‘The Voice’ Season 13 concluded its Battle Round episodes Tuesday night (October 24). In addition to featuring the season’s final battle, it also featured the season’s final steal.

Coach Miley saved two of her most powerful female country singers for her final battle. Ashland Craft and Megan Rose fought it out over the Waylon Jennings hit “Good Hearted Woman.” Knowing that coach Blake Shelton had saved his steal and would most likely use it on either Craft or Rose, Miley secured the fate of both women by saving them for last.

The admiration and respect between Ashland and Megan was obvious as they sang together and embraced when the song ended, bringing a special magic to the performance.

Adam Levine called the women’s performance “the best Battle Round we’ve ever had.”

Cyrus chose Craft as the winner saying that she felt Craft would guarantee that Team Miley had a strong country singer going into the live rounds. Just as Rose was going to say her goodbyes to coach Miley, Blake Shelton pressed his steal button. The most emotional moment of the Battle was the obvious joy that Ashland Craft had for her friend knowing that she got to continue in the competition.
