The country superstar finally addressed a false statement issued by the major news outlet about a forthcoming music project.
Earlier this week, a new collaboration and duets album that was more than 20 years in the making was announced featuring iconic rapper The Notorious B.I.G. and his wife Faith Evans.
In publishing the story to social media channels, something went awry and the outlet stated that country superstar Faith Hill was part of the project.
"Faith Hill is releasing an album of duets with The Notorious B.I.G, 20 years after his murder."
Of course, once fans got a glimpse at this, all of Twitter was ablaze with people making jokes and having fun with the error. It seems that word got around to Faith Hill about it, and she issued her own response to CNN's typographical oops.
This sounds awesome! 😀 https://t.co/jzmyUHKaxU— Faith Hill (@FaithHill) February 3, 2017
Just a few hours after the error was made, CNN issued a follow up correction, replacing Faith Hill's name with the correct one, Faith Evans.
We are glad this all got sorted out and that our country starlet has a great sense of humor about it!
Even though there was some misinformation presented about Faith Hill today, she's no stranger to collaboration with different musicians. In fact, check out her killer performance of "Girl Crush" with Little Big Town below.
