Fans planning to attend Cincinnati’s Buckle Up Country Music Festival on August 5 and 6 will have to change their plans.

Citing “circumstances beyond our control”, the folks organizing Buckle Up sent out a tweet on Monday (July 25) announcing the cancellation.

Three days prior, they tweeted, asking if fans were ready for “Ohio’s own McGuffey Lane” to take the stage and advertised a link where they could buy tickets.

Brad Paisley was set to headline the music festival with other performances by country singers Chase Rice, Randy Houser, Maddie & Tae, Tyler Farr, Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots, Jessie James Decker, and Carter Winter.

Buckle Up Fest also tweeted that “all tickets purchased will be automatically refunded via Ticketmaster“.

Fans are outraged, seeing as the festival is not giving out concrete information as to why it was cancelled.

What changed in the last four days?” one Twitter user wrote

What…How does this happen so close to date and we have hotel rooms,” another wrote on Instagram.

Performer Jessie James Decker tweeted that she found out about the cancellation the same way the fans did – through social media.

Watch Paisley perform his latest single, “Without A Fight” with Demi Lovato below.
