Florida Georgia Line singer Tyler Hubbard spent his Thanksgiving day undergoing back surgery, according to posts made to social media by Hubbard and his wife, Hayley. The nature of his back injury wasn’t revealed, but it sounds as if the issues have been ongoing.

“In addition to all the countless people and things I‘m grateful for, I’m So super grateful for this turkey and that he’s safely out of back surgery,” Hayley captioned a photo of Tyler in his hospital bed. “Wish I had the video of him coming out of surgery entertaining the nurses by singing Michael Jackson.”

Hayley may not have captured Tyler singing Michael Jackson, but she captured some video of the singer feeling like he “just drank a whole bottle of Old Camp Whiskey.” Tyler shared the videos to Instagram and also shared his relief over having the surgery over with.

“On a real note I am so thankful to have my back fixed and on its way to being 100% again.. I’ve been dealing with this for years and tried everything to avoid surgery but I’m so glad It’s over incase you can’t tell by the smile on my face,” Hubbard wrote. “Now I start the hardest part for me…. laying around the house and trying to be still until recovery is over.”

According to their website, Florida Georgia Line doesn’t have any shows scheduled until February 2018 so Tyler will have plenty of time to recover. And, Hubbard and his wife are expecting their first child, a girl, in December. The couple revealed the news to People in June.

“Trying to have the balance of raising a kid and raising a family with the lifestyle that we have, and the pace of life that we live — it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be challenging and something that we’re really, really excited about,” Tyler told the publication. “There’s all kinds of emotions on both ends of the spectrum from excitement to [nervousness]. But the excitement definitely [outweighs] the nerves.”

We hope to see Tyler back out on the road soon and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
