In 1999, Jessica Andrews was only 15 years old when she made her country music debut with her single “I Will Be There for You.” Although that song reached the 28th spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, you’re probably more familiar with a song she released the following year.
That song, titled “Who I Am,” was released just one month shy of Andrews’ 17th birthday. It didn’t take long for the song to catch on, and it soon got comfortable at the top spot of the Hot Country Songs chart. “Who I Am” held on to the number one spot for three weeks total, making Andrews an instant star.
Andrews followed up “Who I Am” with a number of other charting singles, including “There’s More to Me Than You” and “Helplessly, Hopelessly.” She co-wrote the former song with singer-songwriter and music video director Marcel Chagnon, who she eventually married in November 2011.
In September 2017, Andrews’ fans rejoiced when she revealed that she and Chagnon were expecting their first child. She used only a few words to announce the pregnancy, simply writing, “There’s a baby boy in my belly!“
Andrews also had just a few words to say when she finally announced her baby boy’s birth on Friday (February 9). A smitten Andrews wrote, “How do you even figure out words to describe feelings that you didn’t know you could have?!“
The little one was welcomed into the world on Tuesday (February 6). His parents chose to give him a strong and powerful name…Rockwell.
“I’ll just say welcome to this world my beautiful baby boy Rockwell,” Andrews wrote.
It warms our hearts to see Andrews so happy snuggling next to her precious baby boy! Congratulations to her and Chagnon!
