Even though the official cast announcement for the upcoming 25th season of Dancing With The Stars won't be until September 6, Good Morning America revealed the very first celebrity who will be competing for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.
Paired up with last season's champion, Emma Slater, will be HGTV star and country music singer Drew Scott! You may know him from his hit TV shows Property Brothers, Buying and Selling, Brother vs. Brother, and Property Brothers: at Home.
He is hardly ever seen without his twin brother, Jonathan, who works on the contracting and design side of their business, while Drew handles the real estate transactions. Drew and Jonathan also released a few country songs as The Scott Brothers including their single "Let The Light Shine In" and a cover of Flo Rida's "My House".
In a satellite interview with GMA, Emma and Drew revealed that the biggest challenge of their partnership will be his height. Standing at six-foot-four-inches tall, he is almost an entire foot taller than his professional partner. Moments after the announcement, Twitter erupted with fans who were ecstatic to see their favorite Property Brother trade in his business suit for dancing shoes.
"I AM SO EXCITED. THIS IS THE TEAM I HOPE WILL WIN! CAN'T WAIT," wrote one Twitter user.
"Yay! I'll start watching DWTS again! Go Drew!" wrote another.
One super fan tweeted, "I can't contain my excitement!"
Drew's twin brother Jonathan sent in a pretty funny video that had Drew and Emma cracking up! Fans are already dubbing the duo "Team Twinning," seeing as Emma herself is also a twin!
Drew also told fans that Jonathan would also be competing but due to a shoulder surgery will be watching from the audience this season.
