Any football fan will know what the SEC is: the Southeastern Conference, one of the most famous and prestigious college football conferences.
As Garth Brooks announced today on Facebook, college football and country music are colliding in a very exciting way!
In a Facebook Live video, Brooks announced that he is "doing a partnership with CBS Sports and SEC Game of the Week starting September 3".
He revealed that before every SEC Game of the Week on CBS, his BRAND NEW song "Pure Adrenaline" will be played with different lyrics to go with each matchup. He is currently filming all the opening segments and is involved in directing each clip.
Because the lyrics will be changing each week, Brooks wants to remind his fans that "if you tune in one Saturday, it's not gonna be the same footage the next Saturday."
His "Pure Adrenaline" opening segment will also be intertwined with highlights from SEC football games. Think Carrie Underwood's Sunday Night Football intro.
First up, is UCLA vs. Texas A&M on September 3, followed by Kentucky vs. Florida on Sept. 10 and Alabama vs. Ole Miss on September 17, ending with the Sun Bowl in El Paso on December 30.
The announcement of new music is exciting on its own, but with the addition of college football? This is awesome!
In the Facebook Live video, Brooks confirmed that "Pure Adrenaline" is off an upcoming album and is just a taste of what's to come from him in the near future.
You can hear a snippet of 'Pure Adrenaline" in the video below at about 4 minutes.
