Garth Brooks has something big in store for his World Tour, which may be set to live up to its name within the next year or two.
Ever since Brooks kicked off his World Tour with wife Trisha Yearwood, the “Friends in Low Places” singer has shattered ticket sales records left and right. Oftentimes, the tickets for a certain date and place will sell out so fast that Brooks will add additional shows to his schedule.
Brooks has been going strong on tour since September 2014, and has traveled all over North America. He isn’t going to be finished any time soon either. Brooks’ has about 20 cities left on his itinerary in North America before he makes a big step for the next leg of his tour.
Since it is called his World Tour after all, fans were obviously expecting that Brooks would travel somewhere outside of North America. But Brooks has never named the exact places he would travel, that is, until now.
Even now, Brooks is still maintaining an air of secrecy about where his tour will take him next, merely hinting toward potential locations. During an interview with Taste of Country, Brooks stated he’ll conclude the North American portion of his tour in November 2017 before he goes overseas.
Brooks mentioned that some tour stops in the Land Down Under could be a possibility, saying, “The guys from Australia came up and talked to us, they were very sweet.“
He also hinted at some tour dates in Europe, citing how much people love Yearwood there. “And of course, Europe,” Brooks said. “We could probably trade places in Europe. They worship her over there and should.“
Once Brooks wraps up his tour, he wants to continue performing. He hopes to participate in some special events, such as the Houston Livestock Rodeo.
For now, Brooks is focused on entertaining fans on his tour, just like he did in Chicago, Illinois. You can watch his performance of “Friends in Low Places” during his concert in the city in the video below.
