Country music icon Garth Brooks landed a performance at a $1.6 billion establishment that has had certain NFL fans at the edge of their seats! The new home of the Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, has booked the "Friends In Low Places" singer to kick off their new stadium with a thrilling concert that is sure to be one for the books!

Tim Zulawski with AMB Sports + Entertainment spoke on the decision to tie down the country singer for the highly anticipated event. “It was important for us to not only find an artist who could deliver the biggest show in the world, but also had the same fan-focused ideals. We knew the best artist who could deliver, and that was Garth Brooks,” he admitted in a Billboard release.

Brooks seems eager for the inaugural concert, releasing a statement that read, "I’m thrilled to be back in Atlanta and honored to play the first concert in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. I’ve visited the stadium twice in the last month and all I can say is -- the fans are going to love it; it’s truly one-of-a-kind."

It's no surprise that Brooks' knack for epic performances made him a viable contender for the event, seeing that his current world tour has been brimming with emotional moments and kick ass performances! Tickets for the October 12 concert go on sale June 30 at 10 a.m. ET.

Atlanta is ready for you, Garth!
