Any scheduled shows and dates for the year have been immediately cancelled through a statement posted to his website.
Fans and ticket holders for any of Gregg Allman‘s shows for 2017 were awoken to the news that he has pulled out of all dates that were previously scheduled and will not be making them up.
The statement posted to his official website gave little information for fans to go off of.
“It has been determined that Gregg will not be touring in 2017. For those of you who purchased tickets for shows in June, contact the ticket outlet from where you purchased the tickets for a refund.”
No explanation has been given for why he is canceling the dates, but the 69-year-old musician had previously canceled the remainder of his solo concerts for 2016, citing health concerns and saying he was taking “some real time off to heal”. Allman only played two shows between August and December of 2016.
The singer also has been working on putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming album, Southern Blood, with a released date stated as March 29th, 2017 – however, his website also says “stay tuned” for more information on the release dates.
We hope that Allman is in good health and will be able to return to touring soon.
