Gwen Stefani Brings Bullied Little Boy On Stage At 2016 Concert

Ever since she started dating Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani has found herself at the center of attention. But Stefani was famous long before she started seeing Shelton, and it was during that time that she made a huge impact on one particular fan.

During a concert in July 2016, Stefani spotted a sign in the crowd and had it passed up to her on stage so she could get a better look at it. A video that Stefani shared to her Facebook page shows her with the sign, and you could tell her heart broke as she read what was written on it.

My son was bullied from the first to fifth grade,” Stefani read, pausing for a second before she continued. “He would come home every day upset, but he’d go into his room, listen to your music, and smile.

Without hesitation, Stefani invited the young boy to come up and join her on stage. The crowd passed him up to her, and he started crying as Stefani stepped up behind him and raised his arms high in the air.

The two of them shared several embraces, and at one point Stefani placed her hands on his shoulders and said something to him that put a huge smile on his face.

As a mother of three young boys herself, we can tell from Stefani’s actions how touched she was to get to meet her brave fan. In the description to the video she shared on Facebook, Stefani wrote that she always wanted to use her talent and fame to make a difference, and that her wish finally came true:

About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world – last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers.”

You can watch the touching moment in the video below, and keep the tissues close, because it will make the tears flow.

Moments like these remind us about the healing power of music, and how much of a difference it can make in the lives of people around the world.
