Famous for showing up at boyfriend Blake Shelton's concerts unexpectedly, Gwen Stefani may have just one-upped herself with this adorable backstage surprise. The international popstar showed up at her country crooner's concert Friday (Feb. 27) at the LA Forum for a performance of their hit duet, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart", before taking the party backstage.
Joined by her three sons as well as close family and friends, the superstar threw Shelton a massive backstage party, and lucky for fans, took to Snapchat to document the whole thing.
The party was complete with a giant mural of them, temporary tattoos of the pair donned by their fellow party goers, a mouth-watering cake with the words "A Cake for Blake" written on the top of it in frosting, JELL-O shots formed into a "B", and a shirt with "I'm Just A Girl With THE Guy" stamped onto it.
Shelton and Stefani have been together for over a year after they began dating officially in late 2015. The pair co-wrote their song "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" together released off Shelton's 2016 album If I'm Honest, a song Shelton later shared he was skeptical about writing.
“I’m insecure about my writing and who I write with and I don’t know...I’m just weird about it sometimes,” Shelton said according to Taste of Country. “I think Gwen has a smaller circle too when it comes to writing, and the fact that we went there that early as we were getting to know each other, it’s just remarkable.”
