Ripped straight from the archives, this almost never heard demo recording is a true piece of country music’s incredible history and legacy!
Never released as a single, this unforgettable moment of Hank Williams’ career was first included on a compilation set of his music that also featured more than 50 other previously unreleased tracks.
The song, “Jesus Died For Me” was written by Hank Williams himself and it has been discovered that there were two separate demo versions made of the song.
One demo is simply of Williams singing his song and the other features his ex-wife Audrey Williams. The collection of his work was awarded two Grammy awards in 1999 and is still considered to be one of the most authoritative and complete collections of his legacy available to the public.
Not many have actually had a chance to hear this rare demo recording from Hank Williams’ incredible time in the studio.
