Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean has another reason to celebrate. The country star's latest album, They Don't Know, has landed at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart making it the first country album to do so in 2016.
They Don't Know is the 6th album of Aldean's to make it into the Billboard 200's Top 10 and his 3rd to land in the top spot.
"Lights Come On," the singer/songwriter's debut track from They Don't Know, became Aldean's 15th No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart earlier this year.
"Having a No. 1 is something we get excited about every time," Aldean told Billboard in July. "But when it's the first song off a new record like this one, it's especially cool to know the fans and radio are behind you."
The album's second single, “A Little More Summertime,” recently released and is steadily climbing the charts.
"Sonically, it was just a little different than anything we had done in the past," Aldean said of 'A Little More Summertime.'
"And I feel like coming off of 'Lights Come On,' it was just another one of those songs that told a story, something that I felt like we had somewhat gotten away from on the last record. And it had that nostalgia thing going on about it that I love."
