Sounds like these two better watch their backs! Following the exciting announcement that former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson was joining the cast of NBC's The Voice, the singer issued a warning to coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Meeting up with Late Night talk show host Seth Meyers, the Oscar and Grammy-winning singer revealed her plan of action to take down the coaches who are notorious for taking home the gold season after season.
“Look out Blake and Adam,” she joked. “I’m watching them so that Team JHud can be ready, because when I come, I come to win. They’ve gotta be ready.”
With her amount of talent and charisma, we're sure she has what it takes to do just that! Prior to her forthcoming gig on Season 13 of the singing series, Hudson acted as a coach on The Voice UK. However, the singer revealed that when she got the call she was selected as a coach for The Voice U.S., she was overcome with emotion.
"When the news came out I literally cried, it’s like, ‘I need a moment,’” she told Meyers. “For me to come from a place like that, where once I was a contestant and then who would’ve ever thought that I would be a coach, and the chairs turning around for other hopefuls. So for me…I was very emotional about it.”
In addition to Hudson, Miley Cyrus is returning to the show in what is shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet.
