A few weeks ago, Duck Dynasty stars Jep and Jessica Robertson took their seven-year-old son, River, to the hospital after he had a fever for five weeks.

He had actually been in and out of the hospital for quite some time while doctors tried to figure out what was causing his being sick. The family traveled to Austin, Texas from their hometown of West Monroe, Louisiana to see a pediatric urologist for more tests and a procedure, which looked like it was going to help him, and just in the nick of time.

Whatever was going on with River could have left "lasting damage on his kidneys" and thanks to the doctors and support of friends and family, River is on the road to getting back to being 100% healthy.

On Wednesday (Nov. 30), Jessica revealed that River was about to go in for his second procedure and asked fans for their prayers. In an Instagram post on Thursday (Dec. 1), she revealed this wouldn't be the last procedure, but it did go extremely well.

"Procedure went well, we'll have to come back in 2 months for next one," she captioned the photo of River in the hospital. "Then hopefully River will be done and we can just monitor everything for a few years without any major surgery!"

Rivers update! Procedure went well, we'll have to come back in 2 months for next one ...then hopefully 🙏🙌🏼 River will be done and we can just monitor everything for a few years without any major surgery!!! He's pumped because he's about to get his IV out... makes for a silly River face! God is good! He is the great healer! So thankful for our amazing Dr and amazing nurses at Dell Hospital!!! They've been so wonderful! And I'm just so grateful to have a healthier River now... I've seen some precious children with major struggles coming in and out of this hospital and let me tell you... my heart has ached.... lift them up in your prayers!!!! Sometimes it's easy to go through life, busy in our own world and not take the time to see families that are going through painful times with children that are born with special needs or major illnesses or like our case didn't even know anything was wrong until sickness strikes... we need to keep these families in our prayers, give where and when you can. There's so many amazing organizations that help families out that can't pay for their children's medical procedures or that help families stay near the hospital that live out of town. @rmhcctx @timtebowfoundation @miamoofund @stjude and so many more! #blessed #powerinprayer #thankful

We will continue to pray for River's recovery.
