Kid Rock has never been one to shy away from politics, openly showcasing his support for President-elect Donald Trump throughout his campaign. Not only was Rock an advocate, but he kicked off a Trump inspired line of merchandise that not only proudly displayed the Republican's slogan, but a variety of quotes and comments pertaining to the former entertainer.
However, despite his public support of Trump, a recent encounter with Detroit Free Press revealed that Rock was, in fact, never formally asked to perform for the anticipated inauguration. Although fans were elated to catch wind of the rockstar's future concert dates, many were shocked that an invitation to the singer hadn't been extended.
Fellow performer Ted Nugent was yet another proud supporter of Trump that had fans and political advocates baffled to see his lack of presence on the inauguration's performance list. According to Detroit Free Press, Nugent had formerly expressed that his schedule simply wouldn't allow for an additional performance, ultimately giving the star no ability to accept any prospective invite.
