They’re having a rainbow baby! Well…babies!
On Thursday (August 17), Lady Antebellum made a very exciting announcement that two of their three band members were each expecting a baby with their spouses.
“Well, #BabyBellum round 2 is on the way! We’re thrilled to announce the Haywoods are welcoming a girl this December, AND the Tyrrells are expecting in February 2018!!” the band wrote on their official Instagram accompanying a photo of Dave Haywood’s son Cash, Hillary Scott’s daughter Eisele, and Charles Kelley’s son Ward.
Haywood and his wife Kelli will be welcoming a baby girl in December, and Scott and her husband Chris Tyrrell are due in February.
This wasn’t the only surprise from the Tyrrell family. In an emotional video posted to her personal Facebook page, Scott revealed that she is pregnant with twins!
“God has answered our family’s countless prayers! Our family is growing…Chris, Eisele, and I wanted to share our DOUBLE portion of joy with you all…We are having TWINS!” she wrote accompanying the video.
This joyful news comes almost two years after Scott suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in the fall of 2015. While she and her family were grieving out of the public eye, she wrote her Grammy Award-winning song “Thy Will“.
She spoke about her miscarriage in the caption of the video announcement saying, “My heart still grieves for our loss and all who are struggling with pregnancy and infant loss and infertility. God hears every prayer and I will continue to share our story to point to the Source of all life, peace and comfort in the best and most difficult of times. Don’t lose hope!“
In the video, Tyrrell and Scott sat down their 4-year-old and told her that God answered all of their prayers with not one, but two babies in her mommy’s belly. Scott also said that she wants to be “fully transparent” with her fans that they conceived their twins naturally, even though neither she nor her husband’s family has history of twins.
“I can’t wait until the babies come out!” Eisele said excitedly after feeling Scott’s stomach. As any curious toddler would wonder, Eisele asked her parents, “When am I going to have a baby in my belly?”
