Lauren Duski Brings Moving Performance Of “The Dance” To ‘Voice’ Finale

NBC/YouTube

From the moment Blake Shelton chose the Michigan native to be a part of his Season 12 Voice team, Lauren Duski has dominated her performances and earned herself frontrunner status.

Duski’s Top 8 cover of Shenandoah’s hit song “Ghost in This House” was the highest charting iTunes single from this season of the Voice. Now Duski is looking to best her own accomplishment after her tear-jerking performance of the Garth Brooks classic “The Dance” during Monday night’s (May 22) finale.

Adam Levine said that Lauren has a voice that all the coaches loved from the beginning and that it has been a joy to watch her perform throughout the season.

Duski’s coach, Blake Shelton, said that her performance was literally like hearing the song for the first time. We totally agree!

Duski is one of four competing for the Season 12 Voice crown. She’ll be going up against Chris Blue (Team Alicia), Jesse Larson (Team Adam), and Aliyah Moulden (Team Blake). The winner will be announced during a special 2-hour Voice event that will reportedly feature performances by Miley Cyrus, Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town and Rascal Flatts.
