Lauren Duski Shares Hilarious Motivational Video She Received Prior To Blind Auditions

Tuesday night (May 23) Lauren Duski was named runner-up of the Voice season 12. The road was a long one for the 25-year old who has been pursuing her musical dreams most of her life.

While many would have given up after success didn’t come easy, Duski had a support system behind her that pushed her to continue. That support was her parents, Jan and Ed Duski.

In a video posted to social media, Lauren proves the depth of her parents’ support by sharing a video they sent to her prior to her Blind Audition in Los Angeles earlier this year. The clip shows Jan and Ed driving down the road while recording a special message for their daughter.

“Good morning, lovely girl!,” Jan says to the camera. “We wanted to send you a little message of motivation for this time while you’re out there…Inspiration and motivation from our fellow Michigander Eminem. We got a little message for you we’re gonna sing. When you get down and you’re missing the two of us, you just turn this on.”

“You know what? We love you,” Jan says as Ed nods in agreement. “We love you and we’re so proud of you.”

The couple then starts rapping along with the Eminem tune “Lose Yourself.”

The Duski’s method of pumping their daughter up before her performance obviously worked as she made it all the way to the final! While she ultimately didn’t win the Voice title, she won our heart and now her parents have too!
