Liam Hemsworth Defends Engagement To Miley Cyrus

Amid swirling rumors of a secret wedding being planned, the Aussie holds firm on his engagement decision to the pop artist. 

Liam Hemsworth spoke up about his engagement to Miley Cyrus to News.com.au in a recent interview and also discussed where things are headed for him. 

The couple, who first met on the set of 2009’s The Last Song, have been in a sort of tumultuous relationship over the last few years and have revealed that they are back together after an extended break. 

In 2012, when Miley was just 19-years-old, the pair announced their engagement and many critics have seen the bold move as an impulsive move, perhaps saying it was premature. 

But, to that, the actor says that he disagrees with the critics. 

“I don’t think that was impulsive,” Hemsworth said firmly. “That was a well-thought-out idea.” 

According to the publication, his tone gave a feeling that he didn’t want to be pushed any further, and journalists have been instructed to leave his personal life out of any interviews. 

Recently even more rumors of the pair becoming engaged again after seeing the two out and about, Miley toting a large ring on her ring finger, and even some interesting photos posted to her social media accounts – one of which had her donning a jersey-style shirt with “Hemsworth” lettered across the back. 

But after all of the rumors and dust settles, the pair and their management haven’t given the official word on anything except they are back to dating one another…and seeing where it goes.
