In May 2017, country icon Loretta Lynn was hospitalized following a stroke. Her team released a statement informing fans about her health issues and postponing all of her scheduled shows.
Luckily for us, her family has been posting updates to social media, with her sister, country singer Crystal Gayle, saying on Twitter that she was "getting stronger every day".
News broke on June 19 that she had officially scheduled her first appearance, which will be on October 1 at her inaugural Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival festival at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
According to a new interview her brother, Herman, gave to Closer Weekly, all Lynn wants to do is perform. "It's all she lives for," he said.
She is determined to take the stage in October, but for now, she is recovering at a rehabilitation facility near Nashville.
“She seems to be coming along pretty good," he said of her recovery. "Her left side was kind of paralyzed, but [she can get around by] herself now, she just has to use a walker. She’s doing really good — that’s the main thing!”
Our continued prayers go out to the country legend for a full recovery.
