Now, Shelton and Bryan are teaming up once again, but for a different reason. As announced on Monday (January 23), Bryan is officially joining Shelton on The Voice!
Bryan will serve as Shelton's team advisor for the upcoming season, which is set to air on February 27. In the past, Shelton has invited artists such Bette Midler, Gwen Stefani, and Brad Paisley to serve as advisors for his team.
Since Shelton tends to build up a team full of country artists, having Bryan as an advisor will be a huge help to them. Bryan will help Shelton's contestants prepare for the battle rounds, which immediately follow the blind auditions. Like the blind auditions, the battle rounds are pre-taped, and Bryan finished filming his episodes last week.
Bryan confirmed the news himself in a post to his Facebook, sharing a photo of him and Shelton looking over music together. "This is going to be fun" he wrote.
Bryan spoke about his motivation to join The Voice during an interview with The Tennessean. For him, it's all about helping aspiring singers discover the artists they are meant to be.
"I enjoy being in the moment with those artists and in my gut feeling, tell them the best thing I can tell them and really lift them up," he said. "I just want to help these people settle into who they are and enjoy the moment."
Shelton and Bryan also sat down with Access Hollywood to talk about their new partnership on The Voice. You can tune in below to watch that interview.
Now we're even more anxious to see the new season of The Voice than we were before. We can't wait to see Bryan in his new role as an advisor for Team Blake!
