Texas-born and raised Lyle Lovett has a long history of performances both as a music artist and as an actor.

Beginning with his 1986 debut of “Cowboy Man” (which would go on to see the No. 10 position on the US Country chart), Lovett has had an extensive recording career and released 14 albums and 25 singles, charting a majority of them.

In 1996, fellow recording pal Randy Newman teamed up with Lovett to tape a duet of Newman’s “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” for Disney’s upcoming animated movie Toy Story.

The song became so incredibly popular following the film’s release that Disney decided to use it as the recurring theme for the rest of the trilogy.

As an accomplished musical performer, Lovett has earned four Grammy Awards including Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Album. His most recent album, Release Me, was released on February 28th, 2012 and achieved the number nine position on the US Country Albums chart.

Beyond making music, Lovett has also championed a successful career as an actor across movies and television shows alike.
