It's been one month since Kris Jones took the internet by storm with his impressive cover of Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey." To date, more than 40 million people have viewed the video of Kris performing the song in his truck while parked in the Home Depot parking lot.

Jones' 15-year old daughter, Dayla, recorded the tune on her phone to share with her friends. Little did she know that the video would become one of the first viral videos of 2017.

If you've heard Kris Jones sing then you most likely remember the first time you heard him and what your reaction was. If not, then let us remind you.

In a new video posted to YouTube, a guy named Nick captures his dad's reaction to hearing Kris Jones's performance of "Tennessee Whiskey" for the first time. Nick's dad is brought to tears as he listens to Jones's smooth vocals.

"That boy...he got skills," Nick's dad says of Jones. "This is the kind of music you need to listen to. This is the kind of music that makes your soul grow. This is the kind of music that makes you happy, makes you feel good. That's what we need more of."

We couldn't agree more! Check out Nick and his dad watching Kris Jones perform "Tennessee Whiskey" in the video below.
