Martina McBride knew when she was very young that she was meant to sing. With the help and encouragement of her parents, McBride went on to become one of the greatest female vocalists in country music history. Now the “Independence Day” singer is getting behind her own daughter, Emma, as she pursues her lifelong dream of being an actress.

In an emotional post made Wednesday night (September 6), McBride revealed that 19-year old Emma had moved to Los Angeles to “embark upon her acting career.” While it was a sad day for the McBrides, it was also a day of celebration as the McBride’s middle daughter begins to see her long-time dream come true.

“It didn’t hit me until after I got back home from the airport that she isn’t just going on a visit….but moving out of our house…maybe for good. Of course she knows she can always come back. But in a way…a very bittersweet way….I almost hope she doesn’t. Because today is the day we all have been talking about…and she has been dreaming about…for years,” Martina wrote. “She’s wanted to be a film and TV actress for as long as I can remember. She set her sights on it and dreamed big. And I have no doubt she will give it everything she has. And the world will fall in love with her. Because she has that kind of magic. And that kind of heart.”

In an interview with TNN when Emma was just an infant, it was clear that she was destined for the spotlight as she hammed it up for the cameras.

We look forward to seeing Emma McBride on the big screen and wish her the very best!
