Country music star Michael Ray took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry for a beautiful performance of country legend Merle Haggard's "Today I Started Loving You Again" back in May of this year.

The "Kiss You in the Morning" singer took center stage with his acoustic guitar and a pocketful of charm for a gorgeous performance of the classic country song. While Michael normally has a very modern sound to his music, he channels the timeless classic country feel of the song that makes for an extremely classic sound.

"Today I started loving you again," Michael sings. "I'm right back where I've really always been. I got over you just long enough to let my heartache mend, then today I started loving you again."

"Today I Started Loving You Again" is a song written by Merle Haggard originally released off his No.1 hit album The Legend of Bonnie and Clyde back in 1968, almost 50 years prior to Michael's performance at the Opry.

You can watch Michael's stunning cover of the timeless classic in the video below!
