This Country Girl Can Rock

In 2016 Miranda Lambert took to the stage at the ACM Awards and knocked the socks off of everyone in the crowd with her performance of a ZZ Top classic. Originally, Lambert had wanted to debut new music on the show. But when the new song wasn’t ready, Lambert threw together a cover of one of her favorite songs instead.

That song was “Tush,” and Lambert was joined on stage at the ACM‘s by ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and fellow country superstar, Keith Urban.

With Gibbons and Urban jamming out on their guitars beside her, Lambert brought the crowd to its feet with her fiery performance, which many called the best of the night.

She Has A History Of This

While Lambert stunned with “Tush” at the ACM‘s, it wasn’t the first time she wowed a crowd with a ZZ Top song.

Back in 2014, Lambert showed off her inner rockstar by performing a cover of the band’s mega hit, “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” during a concert in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Wearing a tank top with the words “American Rebel” on the front and a pair of ripped up jeans with sparkly patches, Lambert worked the whole length of the stage.

Going from one end to the other, she kept the crowd engaged in her performance and reached out and grabbed the hands of those who were closest to the stage.

The crowd rocked along to the music, and even Lambert herself couldn’t help but dance around a little bit. Overall, the whole performance was feisty and fun, and knowing Lambert, we wouldn’t expect anything else!

You can watch Lambert sing ZZ Top’s classic song in the clip below. What do y’all think? What other songs should Lambert cover during her concerts?
