While en route to the ACM Awards, where she is nominated for five awards including Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Video of the Year, Miranda Lambert's airplane took an unexpected detour.
The ACM Awards are held in Las Vegas, Nevada, but because of bad weather, Lambert's plane was diverted to Laughlin, Nevada, about 100 miles South of Sin City.
She is slated to perform at the awards show, which is on Sunday, April 2 and needs to be at the venue for rehearsals, so not getting there on time was not an option.
"ACM Awards or bust!" Lambert wrote on Instagram.
Instead of freaking out, the "Mama's Broken Heart" singer and her team kept their cool.
"Storms diverted our plane to Laughlin Nevada. So... Rent a car set up the bar!! Vegas here we come," she wrote. "Thanks Curt Jenkins For drivin!"
She included a picture of herself creating some cocktails in the parked vehicle.
Based on the hashtags she used, it looks like they sang along to some 90s country music and might have gotten in a fender bender!
No matter what, we're glad she's safe and will be at the ACM Awards to perform her latest single "We Should Be Friends". Check out her music video for it below.
