Neal McCoy Weighs In On Blake Shelton And Miranda Lambert Divorce

Neal McCoy has been great friends with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert for quite some time now. He even sang at their 2011 wedding.

Four years later, the country superstars went through a very public divorce with media outlets publishing articles just about every day with outrageous stories of infidelity on both parts.

As a close confidant to Shelton, McCoy “offered [him] a sympathetic ear”, according to PEOPLE.

“You support your friends, that’s what friends do,” McCoy explains.

While he is supporting Shelton, that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten about Lambert seeing as they are good friends as well.

“Miranda’s a friend of mine, also. We’re all good friends,” he tells PEOPLE. “Miranda is from Lindale, Texas, about 40 miles from where I live. I didn’t know all of the goings-on, but from the outside looking in it all looked happy. Needless to say, there was some kind of friction going on there. But I support both of them – not that either one of them has made me choose a side.”

He knows that they must miss each other and what they had, but he admits he’s seen them both in their new relationships and says they “seem to be happy”.

As most of you know, Shelton is in a high-profile relationship with singer Gwen Stefani.

 

And Lambert has been dating R&B singer Anderson East for some time. 

He’s clearly very happy for his friends and has the upmost respect for both. We’re very glad Shelton and Lambert have not asked him to pick sides. How would he go about doing that?!
