In 2011, country star Billy Ray Cyrus hosted one of the most emotional shows to ever air on television, Surprise Homecoming.
Each episode followed the story of a military member and reunited them with their families, who had no idea!
This particular episode was incredibly emotional because while Staff Sergeant Johnathan Bentley was hiding out, he revealed that this would be the first time he would meet his newborn son, Roman.
Cyrus, serving as the distraction, honored four other members of the military who just returned home with a special ceremony.
"Oh, ladies and gentlemen, looks like we have a straggler," Cyrus said to the crowd."Please welcome, Staff Sergeant Johnathan Bentley!"
The look on Bentley's wife's face was priceless. She just couldn't believe he was actually home. They embraced each other, while their closest friends and family watched with tears in their eyes.
As fans of anything Cyrus, we loved watching him reunite these families who have given up so much for our nation's freedom.
Cyrus is a huge supporter of the military and has, on more than one occasion, performed at military events. One of his most famous songs dedicated to the military is "Some Gave All" off his 1992 debut album of the same name.
The album has since been certified 9x Multi Platinum and 24 years later, he's looking to have to same success with his upcoming album, Thin Line, which will be available on September 9.
You can preorder the album here on Amazon or here on iTunes and you will automatically receive an instant download of "Hey Elvis" featuring legendary rocker Glenn Hughes and a remake of the Don Williams classic "Tulsa Time" featuring Aerosmith rocker Joe Perry. The title track will also be available for instant download on August 12!
