All signs point to yes.
The rumor mill has been hard at work ever since it was announced that country superstar Garth Brooks would be a keynote speaker at the conference and festival SXSW, which takes place in Austin, Texas, on Friday (March 17).
The festival includes all different kinds of music from rap to country and everything in between. They have organized a series of free concerts at one of the many venues, Auditorium Shores, and according to Texas NBC affiliate KXAN, "The Auditorium Shores headliner spot at SXSW is still blank for Saturday night".
Coincidentally, Brooks has a scheduled press conference for Friday morning at 11am, a few hours before his keynote address, causing fans to speculate that it will be an announcement saying he will be headlining Saturday night.
If this were to happen, Austin360 predicts Brooks will be the biggest draw the festival has seen in decades. "It could be a recipe for mayhem," they wrote.
People go crazy for Garth Brooks, and there is no surprise why. The man has been touring for three years straight and gives a phenomenal 2-3 hour show and sometimes does two shows in one night depending on the demand in the city he is in.
What do you think? Would Garth Brooks be a good headliner for SXSW?
