In 2009, evangelical magazine Brio stopped publication and now, will distribute its first physical magazine in eight years.

Gracing the first cover of the revival will be Duck Dynasty darling Sadie Robertson, who has recently built a career as a Christian speaker, traveling the country on multiple tours including her own Live Original Tour and the ever-popular Winter Jam.

Focus on the Family, who is the same company that published the magazine back in the day, is backing Brio once again. According to their official website, “Brio is a relevant magazine for your teen girl that reinforces the values you’ve taught her. It’s produced by Focus on the Family, a ministry you’ve always trusted, and provides inspiring stories, fashion insights, fun profiles and practical tips all from a Christian perspective.”

The first issue of the magazine is slated for May 2017 and subscriptions start at $15.00 for 10 issues. They can be pre-ordered here

Past readers have expressed their excitement for the younger generation to have a magazine like Brio at their disposal once again. One even crediting the magazine for introducing her to her best friend.

“As a 27-year-old, whose mom had Brio sent to her MANY years ago, I was so glad to see Brio is back to enhance and enrich the lives of teen girls who need to see Christ’s light in their lives,” the reader said, according to AdWeek. “I actually met one of my best friends through the Brio pen pal program. This past summer I traveled to her home for her wedding so we meet for the first time after many years of hand-written letters, emails, phone calls, Facebook messages and texts. I hope y’all bring back the pen pal program! I know my pen pal and I will be life long friends, all because of Brio.”

She continues, “I hope that Brio can be the light to many girls, like it was for me. Thank you, thank you so much for bringing back Brio! I hope one day I have a daughter and Brio will be around for her.
