As far as debut albums go, Sam Hunt‘s freshman release Montevallo is one of the most successful. Released on October 27, 2014, all of the tracks were co-written by Hunt, including the singles “Take Your Time,” “House Party,” and “Make You Miss Me.”
Montevallo has since been certified double platinum, and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album. Considering Montevallo‘s immense success, and the fact that it was released two years ago, fans have been curious to know when Hunt will have new music to offer.
That’s why one simple picture he posted on Facebook has sent a whole hoard of country fans into a frenzy. On Tuesday, Hunt changed his cover photo to a small black box, but provided no explanation for the change.
Fans started speculating instantly, assuming that this new cover photo can only mean that Hunt has new music coming soon. There seems to be something symbolic about the photo, as if it hints towards a new album cover or even a new single.
Hopefully Hunt won’t leave his fans hanging for long, because we know they’re anxious to hear something new from him! Until then, you can enjoy his latest single, “Make You Miss Me,” in the clip below.
