One of the most beloved songs in country music was just given a father-daughter makeover.

While performing at their church, Katie and her dad, Ferdie, went in front of the entire congregation to perform a song they had prepared, Alabama’s “Angels Among Us”.

“Angels Among Us” was written by Don Goodman and Becky Hobbs for the country band Alabama. They released it as a single in December 1993 off their album Cheap Seats and it features backing vocals from the Sanctuary Choir and Young Musicians Choir of the First Baptist Church in Fort Payne, Alabama.

The song gained so much incredible feedback from fans that the band received “hundreds of letters from all over the world saying that the song was a blessing,” according to canoe.com.

With Katie singing vocals and her dad accompanying her on the guitar, her angelic voice blew us away. While nothing compares to Alabama’s original, it’s so nice to hear singers pay homage to the legendary group with one of their most well-known songs.
