Kellie Pickler Gets On “The Naughty List” With Phil Vassar In Christmas Song

These two country hitmakers and their Christmas song are only getting coal from Santa this year, and as their song explains: that’s their entire goal!

In 2017, Kellie Pickler and beloved country singer/songwriter Phil Vassar teamed up for a sultry holiday hit that takes “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and cranks up the heat. Together, in the song penned by Vassar, Pickler duets in this very Christmas-y tune about warming up next to each other and kindling the fire burning between them.

“I’m gonna wrap my arms around you like a big red bow / A little hanky panky underneath the mistletoe / We’re gonna jingle jangle, tingle tangle up all night / Let’s get on the naughty list tonight”

The verses soar through some very spicy and suggestive yuletide situations that all culminate in the couple ending up on Santa Claus’ “naughty list” and is paired with a backing track of jazzy and mid-tempo instruments that all bear some reminder of holiday songs from the past.

“The Naughty List” is a song that Vassar had been working on for a long time and finally decided to put it out with the help of Pickler and her unmatched vocal ability.

Kellie Pickler burst on the scene following her stint on American Idol in 2006.

Even though she didn’t win the season, Taylor Hicks did, she is one of the most famous to come out of that season! Other finalists included Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry!

Pickler went on to release four albums, compete on Dancing With The Stars (and win!), star in a CMT reality show, and host her own talk show!
