Country star Darryl Worley is navigating a bittersweet journey as he deals with the aftermath of a devastating fire that burned down his cherished Tennessee barn on Tuesday, January 16.

Darryl Worley Opens Up About Barn Fire

Earlier this week, Darryl Worley posted a video documenting the heartbreaking incident. From inside their car, he and his wife, Kimberly, witnessed the moment when their family barn went up in flames. The fire not only meant a structural loss for the Worley family, but more significantly, the destruction of cherished memories that the barn held.

In the midst of the tragic event, Darryl is finding strength from the outpouring support from his family, friends and devoted fans. Just a day after the fire took place, he posted a heartfelt message to his social media, expressing the emotions that him and his family are going through.

“I don’t think I will get this sight out of my mind for a long time! I’ve seen other people go through things like this and I truly hurt for them. You just don’t really know and understand until it happens to you. It’s the worst feeling! In that moment that Kimberly captured I was overwhelmed with the feelings of helplessness, sadness, confusion, and grief!”

In his statement, Darryl went on to show his appreciation for everyone who has shown him love during this difficult period.

“There were so many things in that barn that meant so much to us and so many great memories! But I woke up this morning feeling thankful for all the love and support from so many, for the fact that all our animals escaped, for my family being safe, and for God’s love and protection!

Although the family has felt extreme sadness from the loss of their barn, Darryl remains thankful for the prayers and compassion he has received, asking everyone to keep his family in their thoughts as they rebuild.

“Please continue keep us in your prayers and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the posts, text, calls, and prayers! We will rebuild our barn and move on with God’s help!”
