Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Travelin' Man" is one of those songs that only continues to get more popular as time passes. The song was first recorded by the original band before the plane crash of 1977, but the reunited band was able to give it new life.

Using lead singer Ronnie Van Zant's original vocal tracks, Skynyrd was able to create a virtual duet on "Travelin' Man" between him and his brother, Johnny Van Zant, who has been Skynyrd's lead vocalist since they reunited. The result is chill-inducing, since the recording makes it sound like the two Van Zant brothers are really singing together.

But originally, Skynyrd recorded "Travelin' Man" as a live track on their 1976 album, One More from the Road.  It's rare to find clips of them performing the song live, but footage exists of Skynyrd's historic performance in 1976 at the Knebworth Festival in England, which shows them singing "Travelin' Man."

The song, and the Knebworth performance itself, showcase Ronnie's vocal ability to the highest extent. One can't even begin to put into words how much power his voice contained as he proclaimed to the crowd of thousands that he was a "Travelin' Man."

Adding to the intensity of the performance was the rest of the band, since everyone was on the absolute top of their game. Of course, it was Skynyrd's triple guitar attack from Allen Collins, Gary Rossington, and Steve Gaines that was a real crowd-pleaser.

Skynyrd's "Travelin' Man" performance enhanced their already mind-blowing set at Knebworth. That's why it should come as no surprise that many people refer to this performance as one of Skynyrd's best of all time.

If you are a Skynyrd fan, then this is the performance you want to watch. Check it out below and relive history!
