Thomas Rhett has spent the last few years opening for major country music acts such as Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, and Jason Aldean. With the help of Kelsea Ballerini, the “Die a Happy Man” singer has just announced he will kicking off his very first headlining tour this Winter.
The Home Team Tour kicks off Feb.23 in Saginaw, Michigan and wraps up April 21 in Nashville, Tennessee at Ascend Amphitheater. His 2017 tour will consist of 15 stops residing mainly on the eastern seaboard in cities such as Erie, Pennsylvania and Dayton, Ohio.
Ballerini will be accompanying Rhett on the tour as the main opening event as well as country newcomers Ryan Hurd and Russell Dickerson. Rhett says he’s excited to have the opportunity to help Hurd and Dickerson build careers on his own stage the way Shelton, Keith, and Aldean did for him.
“Having my own tour also gives me the opportunity to introduce some people I think are going to explode in the next couple of years,” says Rhett. “I’m a huge fan of both Ryan and Russell and I can’t wait for my fans to get to know them too.”
Tickets will be on sale starting Oct. 7 as well as new deluxe version of his Tangled Up album featuring an additional three new songs including his forthcoming single, “Star of the Show.”
