When the upcoming movie The Shack released its emotional trailer in December 2016, we saw a familiar face, and heard a couple familiar voices. Tim McGraw appears in the movie as a mentor/father figure to the main character, Mack, played by Sam Worthington of Avatar fame.
The Shack follows Mack’s grief and spiritual awakening following the kidnapping and death of his young daughter and is based on the best-selling novel of the same name. The trailer also features a brand new duet from McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill.
Together, they sing “Keep Your Eyes on Me”, a song they both wrote with veteran songwriters Lori McKenna (“Humble and Kind”) and Shane McAnally (“Mama’s Broken Heart”, “American Kids”, “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye”).
Although we only heard a snippet of the song, we already fell in love with it and McGraw and Hill’s chill-inducing harmonies. Thankfully, Atlantic Records released the full song on Friday (Jan. 27).
Fans will likely hear the married duo sing this new duet together on their upcoming Soul2Soul World Tour. They will be kicking the tour off on April 7.
Take a listen to the song below.
