Little Boy Wants To Be Thomas Rhett’s Best Friend After Hearing ‘Marry Me’

Thomas Rhett‘s latest single, “Marry Me,” isn’t the happy wedding song one might expect from the tune’s title. In fact, it’s a story about the heartbreak a person goes through when someone they love chooses to marry someone else. 

For a North Carolina pre-schooler the song elicited some strong emotions as he was heartbroken for the song’s singer. A video filmed by 4-year old Ryder’s mom and posted to Facebook shows his compassionate reaction to “Marry Me.”

“I want to be his best friend,” Ryder tells his mom. “Because he’s sad….because the girl’s getting married.”

Be prepared to fall in love with tender-hearted Ryder when you watch the video below.
