Late last night, the mother of Wendell Cox – longtime time friend and lead guitarist to Travis Tritt – suddenly passed away. Expressing his deepest condolences for the man who raised someone who has become such an important fixture in his life, Tritt broke silence in the wake of tragedy.
The country singer took to Twitter to express the heartbreak he feels for his dear friend and his family with a heartfelt message.
“Love and deepest condolences to my longtime friend and lead guitarist, Wendell Cox. His mother passed away last night unexpectedly. So sad,” wrote Tritt via Twitter.
