Now that Sadie Robertson has confirmed their relationship in the media, Trevor Knight is obviously being hounded about their relationship during pre-season press.
Knight is the starting quarterback for the Texas A&M Aggies, who just reported for football camp this week. During a press conference on Thursday (Aug 11), Knight was asked the hard hitting questions, including “How was the Justin Bieber concert?”
Normally, for a college athlete, that is not a normal question, but for a football player who is now publicly dating a celebrity where their first meeting was at a Justin Bieber concert, it turns into a standard inquiry.
“We had a blast at Bieber. That was a fun deal. I look back and I don’t know why I agreed to go,” he joked. “Just Bieber and meeting her for the first time, you know, but we had a blast and kind of just hit it off.”
The reporters then questioned the month after that where they did not talk, which Robertson revealed in her recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“It was a friendly thing. She got busy and I got busy. Eventually we ended up connecting again. We were just friends for a while and one thing led to another again and it just happened,” he explained.
Not only was he asked about Bieber, he was asked about his tennis playing skills because, as we all know from Instagram, Knight and Robertson had a tennis date towards the beginning of their relationship.
Knight reveals that Robertson is a talented tennis player, since she went to State playing for her high school team.
One reporter finally asked the question on everyone’s mind, “Can fans expect to see the Duck Dynasty crew at Kyle Field this fall?”
“You’ll see Sadie a few times, especially at the beginning of the season,” he says with a smile. “Then she’s going on a pretty awesome tour. It’s called Live Original, it’s a speaking tour where it’s an encouragement, faith-based deal. They’re going to 17 different cities and I’m excited to walk with her through that and watch her do her thing and she’ll come support me when she can.”
Knight’s season begins Saturday, September 3 against UCLA and Robertson doesn’t have a tour date until September 22. Her tour also ends with plenty of the season left, so we’re sure we’ll see her many times wearing Aggie colors.
